THE WAYMAKER

The Waymaker is the One who makes a way for others to follow. He leads the followers in the route that He believes is safe and risk-free. He scouts for the best passage and guarantees safe passage even when it may be clear to the followers that the road is not conducive.

And the assurance He gives brings peace and calmness into the lives of those who follow, most especially when the Waymaker is set to be God. God creates paths, solutions and possibilities where none seem to exist.

And by His mighty acts, He acts as a miracle worker and promise keeper in difficult and impossible or dark situations. To be a Waymaker means that you know the route, and even when there is a dead end, you have what it takes to make another.

In other words, the Waymaker makes a way where there is a way or where there is no way. And that is exactly the qualities we found in God. He brings possibility out of the impossible, and nothing can restrain Him from leading His people through a safe passage.

And that is why Isaiah was able to prophesy boldly the promises of God and also the capability of the Divine Waymaker who makes a way where there is a way and even where there is no way. The Bible says, “I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

So when we are talking about God making a way in the wilderness, wilderness has no road, so it means God is giving you an unobstructed route as you find yourself at the juncture of not knowing where to go, at the juncture of “I don’t know what to do.” God says He will make a road because He is the Waymaker.

He also said, “I will make a river in the desert.” In other words, every solution God gives to you is interpreted as God being your Waymaker, and when He said even in the desolate place, He will make a river to flow through the desert, that is to say the unexpected will be seen and you will be the beneficiary.

When God makes a river in your desert, you will see water flowing through from an unexpected end. Everywhere that has been deserted will overflow with the rivers of joy, peace, and happiness in your life.

Many people are stuck in life, somebody—stuck financially, stuck in sin, stuck maritally, stuck in their career, stuck in making progress. No matter where you are stuck, if truly God made a way when the Israelites were stuck in the Red Sea, God will make a way for us.

If truly God made a way for Jeremiah to be rescued when he was stuck in that dungeon, God can make a way for you. No matter the pit that you are stuck in, somebody, God the Waymaker will definitely make a way for us.

Because you serve a living God, the Waymaker, whom no one, power, or forces can hinder when He makes a move. For the Bible says, “Make way for the One who rides on the clouds by the name Yah.” May the unstuckable God make a way for you and I in Jesus’ name.

What the Waymaker is capable of doing is beyond parting the sea at the Red Sea, beloved. If truly He also made a way for the people of Israel at the edge of Jordan, if the Waymaking God could make the Jordan River turn back so that the people of Israel wouldn’t get stuck, the same God is still in action, somebody.

And I am here to tell you that as you continue in your journey in life, all you need to do is to let go and let God. You’ve been trying to make a way for yourself, but let God make a way for you. You’ve been in the struggle for a minute now but still don’t know where to go. It is high time for you to let God navigate you through it all and disentangle you from every entanglement.

He is a Waymaking God. Your back might have been against the wall. It might have looked as if it was all over. It might have looked as if nothing good will come out of your Nazareth. The promise of God is to make a way where there is no way.

At the juncture of misery, the Waymaking God made a way for David and his servants, for they didn’t know what to do when the enemy came to them in Ziklag. Also, when David was stuck in the land of the Philistines, God made a way for him in the presence of those who wanted to kill him.

Prayer Point: In the presence of adversaries, God will make a way for you. At the juncture of misery, Lord, make a way for me. At the center of it all, Lord, make a way for me.

Those who don’t have a way to go are stuck, are disgraced, are sent back, are disappointed. But you don’t want to get stuck in life, and that is why this promise is upon you and your family and all that matters to you. God will make a way for you—open doors that cannot be shut, abundance of water where you ought to thirst, sufficiency where you ought to lack, help where you ought to be helpless, hope where you ought to be hopeless.

Isaiah 42:16 says, “I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.”

Beloved, when you don’t see the things that are making people to be great in life, people are connecting to their potentials but you do not see your own potential, that could be interpreted as blindness. And the fact of the matter is we are blind without God, crippled without God, clueless and short of sight without God.

Hence the reason we must connect, look unto Jesus to guide us on the path to satisfaction. The word of the Lord says, “Oh, satisfy us early that we may be glad and rejoice all our days.”

In Joshua 3, the Bible says the river was filled to the brim, but yet it was cut off in the presence of Joshua so that the people may go through on dry ground. The river was a hindrance to their moving forward, but the Waymaker cut off the river before them so that they may go forward.

What is needed to be cut off shall be cut off this season. For you to move forward, it shall be cut off. Even when you are the one that is holding on to it, God will cut it off in Jesus’ name.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

This is what God will do for you as you go this year in Jesus’ name.

Let someone say God is my WayMaker.
