CREATED FOR HIS GLORY

Preacher:
Series:

What is God’s glory?

The glory of the Lord is the presence of the Lord. It is the magnificence of God and the majesty of God, and in this glory is where you and I derive what it means to be majestic, fearfully and wonderfully made.

The glory of the Lord is an undefined glory that makes us to be the majestic creatures that are set above every other creation. This glory has no match or comparison as it comes from the glory that made God to be God.

And in and within this glory, we tap a glory that is undefinable, that qualifies us to become a special and peculiar people whom the Lord has identified as His own. No wonder the Bible says in Isaiah 43:7 that “everyone who is called by My name is created for My glory.”

In other words, our being created for God’s glory is to glorify God as we are made in the image of God. We are created to reflect His character and attributes so that what people do not understand God for could be known through us, for the Bible says in Genesis 1:27 that we are created in the image of God.

So if we are created for His glory as we’ve rightly said, the expectation is for us to understand that in this new year, the glorification of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is paramount in all that we stand for and represent in life. Let someone give God praise.

It is so unfortunate today that many did not know why they are created. They did not see themselves in the image and the likeness of God. They did not know how mindful God is before creating and making them who they are on earth.

And that is why they thought they are created and existing for their own self-glory or for the devil, so they glory in themselves and in the devil. No wonder the Bible says, “Let everyone who glories, glory only in the Lord,” for those who do not glory in the Lord fade. Their glory fades. They are neither renewed nor refreshed.

Unlike the glory of the Lord that refreshes us every day. So in other words, there is much glory that people bask in, but the glory of the Lord, which we are created for, is the only glory we must bask in if we want to catch the attention of the One who created us for His glory as we journey through this year.

For the benefits of the glory we are created in are only meant for those who are called by God’s name, and you and I are privileged to be part of the chosen people.

And for this reason, we must give God the praise for the ongoing benefits we have received and are still receiving because we are created for His glory and are dwelling in His glory.

For no one would be able to identify us for who we are in Christ if not because of the opportunity given to us to dwell in His glory. For we all know that the glory was once lost through our first parents Adam and Eve but was restored back to us through Jesus. However, even though the glory of the Lord is manifold, not all people are given the opportunity to bask in God’s glory.

But for us who are special and loved in His sight, we must know at all times that we are created for His glory. And in His glory, we have glory. In His glory we are changed, we are reformed and renewed. In His glory, we are transformed, we shine, we become a name and a fame everywhere we might have been put to shame.

And for this reason, our praise must not be on the minimal, must not be on the low, for the glory we carry in His glory has no rival and is unmatchable to any other glory out there. For you will be amazed that those who carry God’s glory in the word of God are undefeated, and as a matter of fact, no one dared to come near them because of the weight of His glory that surrounds them and radiate on them

So let us worship the Lord for we are created for His glory. Let our mouth be filled with His praise, for we are the ones to display His divine presence before the people as we have beheld His glory.

As you have started this new year, we have no other option but to continue to behold His glory which we are created for, for His glory does not fade, does not diminish, does not expire, does not get destroyed.

So in other words, even though the world fades, because we have been chosen and created for His glory, we will not fade. While others diminish, we will not diminish or expire because as we continue in this glory, which is the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Strength will be ordained to us. Enemies will be silenced. We will become mindful of. In His glory we will be remembered and visited. We will be crowned with glory and honor and held in high esteem, for we are no longer ordinary.

In His glory, we will have dominion over the works of His hands. All things will be put under our feet. So know why you are created and walk in the glory for which you are created so that you may have an eternal blessing of what His glory brings in your life.

For anyone who wants to radiate in God’s glory which he or she has been created for must be prepared to do what will send down His glory to him, for even though we are created for His glory, many have lost connection with His glory.

And should there be anyone who has lost connection, I pray for restoration as you go through this year in the name of Jesus. Amen!

I pray you will benefit from His glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
